I can start working here and continue working in my iPad or MacBook with the Textastic for Mac App without any trouble. I have been using this app for a few months now and has been really useful.

I often use this app with a USB keyboard on my iPhone 6 Plus, and that works well because I can use a lot of familiar keyboard shortcuts to speed things up.ĭenver3001's Review of Textastic Code Editor 9 Reviewed on 11/23/18 12:40 PM The themes are so neat because you can customize it make it look the way you like so that it doesn't make your eyes uncomfortable. I love the little extra keys that sit on top of the regular keyboard because it helps you type in special symbols more quickly. It also works well with VoiceOver which is a huge plus. I even use it for storing short snippets of text and taking notes. I use it for a lot of my homework assignments and writing papers in LaTeX. For me this app is a must have because it recognizes so many different kinds of code and text files. I upgraded to version 6 as soon as it came out. I first purchased both the original iPad and iPhone versions of Textastic when I was working on code for a project. It's a welcome break from apps like Facebook that are now easily a quarter GB in size and use huge amounts of system resources and power.

I can type for up to 12 hours on my iPhone 6 Plus with a connected USB keyboard without charging. It's lean and doesn't use a lot of system resources, power, or space. I also really appreciate how the app is under 20 MB. While it's not totally necessary for me, it is kind of nice to have. I also appreciate the addition of the SSH client since I do use SSH. This has made working with many different files at once on my phone so much easier because I can always have them at my fingertips. I have an iPhone 6 Plus, and now I can easily keep a few different files open and switch between them quickly if I need anything.

It's not every day that I feel like I have to go and update my app reviews, but the newest update really made my life so much easier. タダヨシ's Review of Textastic Code Editor 9 Reviewed on 11/23/18 12:40 PM My most used app star star star star star Text selection and pointer placement in long sections of “tidied” text can be…er…tedious. For an accurate view I must download and link CSS and its imbedded files (fonts and SVGs) locally, or upload the updated HTML and look at the online version in Safari by explicit URL. If a local file links to an online CSS there is no telling which cached version of the CSS will be loaded. One must be parient with its limitations. It is somewhat handy to have an iOS code editor.
